A Story gives meaning by arranging what could otherwise appear to be a series of disconnected events.  Beads also hold meaning since they are imbued with beauty and information from a variety of artisans in diverse cultures. 

Carolyn Arcure collects both – stories dating from ancient myth to modern day and handmade beads, old and new, from around the world.  With them she creates Storybeads, intertwined reminders telling of our place in an interconnected universe.

Carolyn’s work brings together her degrees in English Literature and Comparative Religion to interpret universal symbols.  As unique jewelry, bookmarks, shrines and other blessings, Storybeads take many forms, all accompanied by detailed tags and booklets with their individual stories.
