Bettye Blackwell

I have been living in the Ruidoso area since 1998.  I was born in Tennessee and spent most of my adult life in Texas.

I spent 39 years in the communications field.  I worked off and on painting and drawing whenever possible.  I have had the chance in the last year to devote my time to this pursuit.  I work in oils, pastels and acrylics.

I have always had a love for the desert and the high mountain areas of the southwestern United States.  I find the colors and subject matter very soulful and inspirational.
