Ardis R. Hood

Hood’s works of art often display fascination with patterns and textures, both natural and man-made, and, oft-times, a degree of subtle wit.  Her works have been shown often in regional and national competitions, including the Salmagundi in New York City.  She has garnered many “Firsts” and “Best of Show” awards, and her works appear in corporate and private collections throughout the United States.

Hood works in multi-media, continues to teach in classes and workshops, and accepts portrait commissions.

Born in Nebraska, reared and educated in Colorado, she is now a permanent resident of Ruidoso, New Mexico.
