Robert "Bear" Tiews

I have been a professional designer and graphic artist for many years.  My real endeavors began when I joined the US Air Force and started doing illustrations and print design.  Upon my discharge from the Air Force, I went to work for the government as an illustrator.  As a graphic artist, I had my own business doing graphic art:  designing logos, brochures, etc. to be printed.  My experience as a graphic artist is well known in the commercial fields.  During the past few years my interest in jewelry design led me to study with Harold O’Connor at the Taos Institute of Arts in New Mexico.  I collaborate with Marcia Bizeau in an effort to bring forth original jewelry designs using colorful and meaningful gemstones combined with creative metal smithing.  I have also taken sculpture classes, classes in watercolor painting with Frank Francese NWS and acrylic painting with Robert Burridge.  I now work in photography shooting a number of unique subjects and printing most of my photographs on canvas in variety of sizes.
